Liam joined our Barrow-in-Furness office in April 2017 to complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering Support qualification. A previous student of Mechanical Engineering and IT, Liam sought an opportunity to gain some experience working with technical documentation and decided that our apprenticeship offered a perfect balance of hands-on work and learning.
When asked to comment on his favourite aspects of working at Allan Webb, Liam responded: “I arrived at Allan Webb with no experience but have enjoyed the challenging aspect of working here. I also enjoy and appreciate all the help from the highly qualified and experienced authors that are available here – they’re always happy to help out.”
Throughout the duration of his course, Liam has thrived in delivering tasks while working alongside our fully trained experts, who have enabled him to develop skills that will greatly enhance his career progression.
We currently have two apprentices still completing their courses with us and we are looking to employ additional members across a number of disciplines throughout 2019. Liam’s advice: “To anyone considering an apprenticeship scheme at Allan Webb, I would 100% recommend it – take every opportunity that will become available to you.”
We are delighted that Liam has opted to remain at Allan Webb with a view to undertake future qualifications in Technical Writing in order to further his career here.
