Business Development Manager
An opportunity exists for a Business Development (BD) Manager to work within the Sales and Marketing Directorate of Allan Webb Limited. This position is available immediately.

An opportunity exists for a Business Development (BD) Manager working within the Sales and Marketing Directorate of Allan Webb Limited. This position is available immediately.
The BD Manager post will provide energy and impetus in the small and dynamic sales and marketing team working across the spectrum of the AWL business portfolio to develop clients and sales opportunities for our broad logistics product base. It will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director.
The post will be an integral part of the AWL drive to push our products into wider and non-defence markets as we look to continue our strong growth and quality offerings. These markets will include, but not limited to, offshore, shipping, all energy, rail and other transport, pharmaceuticals, and facilities management. AWL has significant aspirations in the international arena, already pushing hard into the Middle East, Australasia and North America as well as Europe.
The post holder will require significant experience of Business Development as a professional discipline, including a strong base of marketing competence and experience developed ideally in both Defence and non-Defence environments. It is likely that the successful applicant will have experience of Bid Management and Bid Writing as well as a clear understanding of the financial components of those Bids, together with a good understanding of formal processes such as ‘Shipley’ etc.
The post holder will need to have the requisite interpersonal qualities to enable working in a small and dynamic team, demonstrating integrity, honesty and excellent team building and team maintaining ability. Work will also involve operating alone and from remote and occasionally abroad.
Our customers demand confidentiality and discretion. You will be required to undergo UK MOD security clearance for this role. You will require the right to work in the UK.
