Allan Webb Ltd Win Silver Award at the UKCeB Excellence Awards 2012.

The objective of the ‘UK Council for Electronic Business’ Excellence Awards is to recognise, celebrate and share examples of successful collaboration within Team Defence across four categories, including Secure Information Sharing, Business Improvement and Transformation, Human Factors Integration and Through Life Support. The competition was tough and Allan Webb was up against companies like Rolls-Royce, General Dynamics & Boeing Defence UK. Full story

Allan Webb celebrates 50 years of NATO Codification

The NATO Codification System (NCS) is the most comprehensive codification and cataloguing system in the world with over 17 million NATO Stock Numbers, for items ranging from bolts to battleships. It provides a common "language of logistics" for the 63 member countries of the NCS, supporting effectiveness in our armed forces, reducing costs and facilitating both national and coalition operations.

Gold Sponsor for Codification World Forum 2011

Allan Webb is proud to be the Gold sponsor of the Codification World Forum 2011 this November in Bruges. The NATO Codification System (NCS) is one of the notable successes of the past 50 years. This “common language of logistics” has enabled defence forces worldwide to describe, identify and share material. The World Forum will examine the challenges for the NCS in meeting emerging requirements and how opportunities can also be captured. 

As well as presentations on specific topics, delegates will have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and ask questions about any aspect of codification. There will be a number of discussion groups on topics such as 'The Benefits of Codification', 'Data Management', 'Supplier-Sourced Codification', 'Sponsorship Programmes', 'Total Asset Management', 'Future Strategic Objectives for Codification' as well as training opportunities for any delegates who would like to learn more about how codification works and how best to exploit the NATO Codification Database (NMCRL).

Contract Award from UK Trade and Investment

Allan Webb Limited wins UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) contract to maintain and update their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Allan Webb will complete data entry of organisations and contacts who apply to UKTI into a CRM system whilst making sure all details entered are accurate and unique. The contract will last for 33 months and all staff are looking forward to this on-going commitment and relationship with UKTI. 

DSEi 2011 Competition Winner

50 years of codification is set to continue

New Business Development Manager has arrived

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a second Business Development Manager, Lorraine Biggs who joined us in August from 'Dytecna Limited'. Lorraine has been heavily involved in delivering Engineering and Supply Services to the MoD and industry for a number of years, and we are looking forward to tapping into her wealth of Knowledge and welcome Lorraine to the Allan Webb team.
