Ark Royal Exhibition
Allan
Webb recently exhibited in the flight hangar of the
Royal Navy's aircraft carrier, Ark Royal.
Organised through the Defence Manufacturers Association,
we enjoyed a well organised tour around the various
departments whilst we the ship transited around the Isle
of Wight. During the day we witnessed various
demonstrations including the landing of Merlin and Sea
King helicopters.
This was an extremely interesting and
informative day where we learnt more about the
challenges of working and living in a warship. We would
like to thank the captain, the ships company and the
staff of the DMA for organising such an interesting
event.

Scottish Office Opened
Allan Webb has
opened a new office in Scotland to further assist our
Scottish customers and to act as a
base for business development in Scotland. The office
is run by recent recruit Alan Orr, who
previously worked for the MoD within the technical
services domain.

Allan Webb re-qualifies as an approved supplier to the UK MoD
Allan Webb has re-qualified as a supplier to the UK MoD within the terms of the Framework
Agreement for Technical Support (FATS/2). The 18-month agreement ends in March 2009
and replaces the original FATS/1 contract.
The FATS system allows the MoD to accelerate the selection and procurement process by
negating the need to advertise requirements in the Official Journal of the European Union
(OJEU) and the MoD Contracts Bulletin.
Under FATS/2 Allan Webb’s capabilities include the supply of ILS, Safety, Technical
Authoring, Training, Document Scanning and Graphic Design services.
Last year Allan Webb won a contract with the Defence Standardization (DSTAN) agency
through FATS/2 to provide Technical Documentation services.
Through FATS/1, Allan Webb was awarded a 4 year enabling arrangement to supply
Illustrated and Non-illustrated Parts Cataloguing services for in-service Naval vessels.

Harrington Generators International
Allan Webb supported Harrington Generators International
to manage and deliver the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)
programme on a military generator project for the MoD.
Our services included the production of the Technical
Publications, Safety Case report, Reliability and
Maintainability Case report, Training Needs Analysis, and
a complete train-the-trainer package, including delivery
of training to the Army. |
