Meet The Team

John Hardcastle
Chariman

John is a Certified Accountant and has recently been appointed Chairman of the company after serving 13 years as Managing Director. John’s philosophy has been to provide an affordable high-quality service whilst meeting customer timescales. Prior to joining Allan Webb John was Group Controller at Triumph Motorcycles.

Steve Rigsby
Managing Director

Steve joined the company in 1982 in the Codification Department, which he subsequently managed. He became a director in December 2002, and has held various roles since then, including Operations Director, and now Managing Director, a post he has held since 1st October 2011. Apart from his specialist codification knowledge, Steve is also well versed in Integrated Logistic Support and associated disciplines, and is responsible for many innovative customer solutions in that area.

Gareth Jones
IT & Security Director

Gareth joined the company in 1989 and worked his way up to IT Director in 2001. Allan Webb Ltd's IT systems are integral to growth of the company and are market leading. Gareth is well known for his innovative solutions for both internal and external projects. He also has a great understanding of MoD and Defence industry systems.

Martin Lewis
Technical & QC Director

Martin joined the company in 1986 in Codification. Later that year he was appointed to form and run the Cataloguing Department, during which time, he gained skills in database development that became key in increasing the profile of the company. In December 2004, he became a Director. Since 2008, Martin has been involved in various projects including more database work for both the Navy and the Army. He is also responsible for quality and health and safety.

Lawrence Eyles
Business Development Manager

Lawrence joined the company in Jan 2010 after 20 years in the Equipment Support area of the MoD. Lawrence has experience in support of requirements capture, project management, development and now delivery of engineering and support services. Projects include TDOL, Failure reporting, Data Management.

Lorraine Biggs
Business Development Manager

Lorraine joined the company in August 2011. Lorraine comes from a long and established Defence background, involved in the development and delivery of engineering and supply support services.

Geoff Pyatt
Sales Support Manager

Geoff joined the Company in early 2005 having retired from Canon a few months before. He brought with him a wide range of business skills and has been the major player in the development of the documentscanning.net brand.”

Marie Baker
Codification Manager

Marie joined the company in October 2011 after 28 years working in the MoD within Supply Chain Management. Over the years she has worked as a Trainer, Inventory Manager and on various Data Cleansing activities. Marie has gained extensive knowledge of all Base Inventory Systems but her main expertise was in the Maritime environment. More recently Marie has been leading on codification and data integrity activities for two major military land vehicle projects.

Jacquie Garraty
Special Projects Manager

Jacquie joined the company in Apr 2009 after 22 years in the logistics area of the MoD. She has a great understanding of MoD processes and procedures covering a wide range of subjects such as Inventory Management, Storage and Distribution and Demand Processing. Since joining the company she has managed many MoD related projects using her expertise.

Sarah Rigsby
Financial Accounts Manager

Sarah joined Allan Webb in 1999 after spending 13 years in Banking. Initially Sarah was the only person in the accounts department. Currently, because of continued company growth, Sarah leads an accounts team of 3.
Sarah has recently achieved the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification which she found particularly challenging being a “mature” student.

Iain Laws
Cataloging Manager

Iain joined the company 1985, where he was employed to learn the black art of NATO Codification, since then he has progress through the company to his current role as Cataloguing Manager. During his time at Allan Webb Ltd he has picked up an excellent understanding of the support requirements of our Maritime customers and has taken an active role in some of our larger project which include the RFA Wave Class, HMS Ocean and RFA Bay Class documentation and procurement activities.

Simon Boakes
Technical Support Manager

Simon has been with the company since 1994 and even after all his attempts of escape is still with us. Previously full time Scanning Manager, Simon now helps clients with Document Management (Cloud Computing) where our customers can freely access their data which we have scanned, Simon also heads up our Data Extraction team where we convert paper into more usable reportable databases allowing clients to complete reports and filters on critical data.

Richard Allott
Scanning Manager

Richard joined the company for the second time in August 2009, after working for Thales Naval Ltd. for 5 years and CTPi Ltd. for too many years to mention - don't tell them how old I really am! With his background, Richard has a sound knowledge of the business areas that the company operates in, and he has added significant experience to the company’s skill base. Currently Richard manages the scanning department, working with a wide range of MoD and Commercial customers 'turning paper in to data'.

Ken Lindsay
Technical Publications Manager

Ken joined the company in January 2007. Since leaving the Royal Navy in 1995, he has been working in the technical publications and training sector; providing services to clients in a wide range of commercial and defence related industries. Ken is strongly customer focussed and has been instrumental in assembling our team of technical authors and illustrators who are committed to exceeding customer expectations.
