Book Scanning
A normal flatbed scanner would risk damaging the spine of the book being scanned. Larger books are also difficult to press flat, which may give a poor quality scan.
Using the latest technology, Allan Webb use a totally different approach in the form of a 'Bookeye Scanner'. This system is like using a camera to take photographs of the information, as the scanner does not come into contact with the book at all. Using this method we can take clear, clean scans without damage to the original book.
