Allan Webb’s Operations Director, Rory Lipington, and Sales and Marketing’s Jordan Dymond recently attended a conference at Farnborough Airshow to collect the SC21 Silver Award, achieved by the company for continuous improvement in the Defence and Aerospace supply chain and operational excellence. Rory and Jordan were joined by members from 44 other companies collecting similar awards for the programme.
Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21) is an improvement programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the Aerospace and Defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains. The programme is endorsed by all major UK Aerospace and Defence companies and is overseen by the Aerospace Growth Partnership (AGP) and delivered by ADS at a national level. It has an industry commitment to focus on delivering a globally competitive UK supply chain within the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space sector.
The award ceremony was part of the SC21 Achieving Supply Chain Excellence events which provide excellent networking opportunities and gives attendees the chance to meet with the ADS SC21 project team, representatives from SMEs, primes and Government.
“As a company that prides itself in providing the highest quality services for our customers, SC21 is a vital part of our daily practices” commented Steve Rigsby, Managing Director of Allan Webb Ltd. “The achievement of the Silver standard is the latest milestone in our ongoing bid to continually improve our performances and is the culmination of 4 years of investment in the scheme. The success of the scheme is down to support from all of our employees and I couldn’t be happier with the dedication and professionalism of our team in helping us reach this prestigious goal.”
Whilst this is a momentous achievement, Allan Webb Ltd are far from finished with the self-improvement framework and will be working towards joining the exclusive ranks of the Gold Achievers in the near future.by
