Allan Webb is pleased to announce that it has recently been successful in gaining the Cyber Essentials certification. The success comes as a result of an independently verified assessment, looking at the systems and processes undertaken to ensure cyber security and safeguarding. The certificate reinforces Allan Webb’s diligent approach to cyber security, and acknowledges the significant measures taken to minimise cyber security risks. In addition, this assessment follows our annual Cyber Penetration testing where external Cyber experts probe the Allan Webb’s systems both internally and externally looking for weaknesses.
Gareth Jones, IT & Security Director said, “We take the security of our systems and our customers data very seriously and do our upmost to protect it.”
The Cyber Essentials scheme has been developed by Government and industry to fulfil two functions. It provides a clear statement of the basic controls all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk from common internet based threats, within the context of the Government’s 10 Steps to Cyber Security. And through the Assurance Framework it offers a mechanism for organisations to demonstrate to customers, investors, insurers and others that they have taken these essential precautions.
